Thanks for Supporting Crop Walk 2026!

Crop Walk 2026 took place on Sunday, October 18th  with beautiful sunshine and crisp fall air.  This year our walkers included the Cheek family, as well as Linda Coleman.  Thank you for your participation!  Pastor Mack, Chris Foard, Jill Socha and Deb Yetka anchored the water stop in front of our church, with assistance from Rumson Country Day School students – everyone’s help is much appreciated!

Monetary donations received this year by Holy Trinity’s team totaled just over $1,300 including $730 in online giving.  As always, 25% of the total receipts from the walk will be distributed to local food pantries and the remainder supports national and international food agencies through Church World Service. While the monetary donations we received are less than in the past several years, it will still make a difference to those in need, and we are grateful for the congregation’s support. This is especially important since government food programs have seen drastic cuts.

Food collections are also key to Crop Walk’s mission.  Thanks to everyone who donated food for distribution to local food pantries such as Lunch Break and Monmouth Day Care Center.  We collected almost 250 pounds of food this year, which is more than double last year’s amount!  A huge THANK YOU to youth members Ashley and Gavin Lynch, who organized a food drive for Crop Walk in their neighborhood totaling over 160 pounds for our collection!!

We live out our faith through our actions, as we read in James 2:26 (KJV): "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

We look forward Crop Walk 2027 to “end hunger one step at a time”.
