We had beautiful weather for Crop Walk 2025 on Sunday, October 19th. Our walkers this year included the Cheek and Lynch families, as well as Linda Coleman and Chris Foard. Thank you for your participation! Pastor Mack and Molly Foard anchored the water stop in front of our church, offering refreshment on a warm day as well as restrooms as needed. We had great assistance from teachers and students from Trinity Hall high school again this year, which is much appreciated.
Thanks to everyone who donated food for distribution to local food pantries such as Lunch Break and Monmouth Day Care Center. We collected 110 pounds this year. Monetary donations received this year by Holy Trinity’s team again totaled just under $2,000 - online giving was nearly $800, and we thank Pete Theophall for collecting approximately $1,100 in cash/check donations! As always, 25% will be distributed to local partners while the remainder supports national and international agencies feeding those who are hungry. This is especially important now that government-funded food and nutrition programs have been severely decreased. Guided by Scripture, we read:
“How does God’s love abide in anyone who has the world’s goods and sees a brother or sister in need and yet refuses help? Little children, let us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action.” (1 John 3:17-18)
We look forward to 2026 when Crop Walk will again seek to “end hunger one step at a time”.
